Governance principles
- Christ-centred servant leadership.
- Separation between oversight, execution and financial review where practical.
- Clear delegation and limits of authority.
- Collective decision-making for significant matters.
- Accurate minutes, records and reporting.
- Conflict-of-interest disclosure.
- Fair complaint and disciplinary processes.
- Respect for host-country law and church relationships.
Committees and advisory functions
Committees may be established only through approved authority and clear terms of reference. They should have a defined purpose, membership, reporting line, term, quorum and decision limits. Possible functions include finance and stewardship, safeguarding and welfare, strategy and monitoring, clergy and theological formation, mission and partnerships, and digital ministry. Committees advise or decide only within their mandate.
Records and information
Official records include minutes, decisions, reports, membership data, financial documents, policies, contracts, partnership records, safeguarding documents and programme evidence. Records will be retained securely, with access limited according to role and sensitivity. Personal data will be collected only for legitimate ministry purposes and handled in accordance with applicable law and approved policy.
